Art in the Round Portrait Class: Caricatures

Portraiture is another important element of the college portfolio. In one of the classes of our six week session we covered the art of caricature. Students took turns sitting for the class. We encouraged the students to explore various techniques in order to capture the essence of the sitter.

This is an important exercise in learning how to be selective in depicting an individual.
