Class Critique

An important part of our life class is the critique held at the end. It gives the students a chance to see what their peers are accomplishing and to comment on their work. This is probably the most important element of our programs at Huntington Fine Arts. Our students learn how to give constructive criticism to their peers. By actively participating in the open discussion they learn to be comfortable discussing their ideas among the group. Besides addressing the fundamentals of drawing like composition, anatomy, technique and concept, the discussions usually end up covering topics ranging from science and math, to history and literature. This emphasizes the fact that all disciplines are related and require a creative mind.
